Roland Dennis Dumond
PFC Dumond was one of three Marines killed in action when a North Vietnamese artillery round hit the ammo dump at Con Thien. PFC Dumond, Corporal McNeil, and Staff Sergeant Holcomb were killed trying to resupply their battery Whiskey 1/12, which was firing critical support for the 9th Marines, fighting just south of the Demilitarized Zone.
