Never Forgotten
I have worked with 3 of this young Hero's family members for the last 7 years. His brother, sister, and nephew of which he never knew, and the nephew was named after Delbert in loving memory. His loss has brought a sadness in which can never be replaced. It has brought hardship upon this family, yet they have survived.
I am truely sorry, for I have lost brothers in arms in combat myself. It is without a doubt one of the hardest things I've had to cope with. Delbert's memory along with all the other's of the war have not been forgotten. My heart goes out to the families of all who have suffered this traggic loss.

We Miss You D.L.
I was with Dale at MCB Twentynine
Palms, CA when 1st Searchlight Battery was formed in 1967. We went on a few liberty calls together. He was a fun and whacky guy. In
Vietnam we spent some tome together at Camp J.J. Carroll, soon before he was killed. There's some great photos of him at 12th Marines Association: http://12thmarinesassoc.homestead.
We're having our first reunion for the Battery in Las Vegas June 11th (2005). He will be with us all in spirit.
We miss you Brother. S/F, Jeff

An Uncle Never Known
But a hero I'll never forget This man was more than a Marine, more than a Hero, more than a vietnam casualty, more than an Uncle I never met, he was a human being that was good hearted and the type of guy that would give you the shirt off hisback. Eventually it was this good nature that led to his death and he would had it no other way from the way that I hear family talk of him. You see Cpl.Delbert L. Leasure was due to come home prior to his death but his goodness stood in the way.
