Augustine Resendez
Lance Corporal Resendez was killed in action 27 April 1967 while making combat repairs to the howitzer parapet communication lines of Charlie Battery 1st Battalion 12th Marines.
Under heavy enemy artillery fire, he was moving from Gun-3 where he just finished repairing their headset to Gun-4 when he was killed by NVA artillery, which detonated a few feet from his position.
He did not suffer; his heroism, while under fire, will be forever remembered by his Charlie Battery Brothers.
