How to accept Jesus as your Savior
We all have different reasons to be bitter; war has damaged our bodies and minds. No one really knows but us, no one really understands us or could they understand, let alone some pastor in his Sunday suit who once was in the reserves on a "really dangerous training exercise;" so he can relate to us. No one can and we know it, right? Wrong Brothers...
As much as you want to be angry and deny this one fact it is true; God can, will, and does understand every physical ache, pain, and emotional scar we bear. It is a matter of yielding our fear and pain to Him, letting go, then beginning to learn how to trust Him which is not easy for us... It could mean Gooks in the wire but God has our rear, front, flanks, and any breech in the wire.
Please Consider the following Information...
1. Please realize God loves you as you are.
God loves you; He wants you to have peace with Him and in life.
The Bible...
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"
John 3:16
Peace and life come from....
"...We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"
Romans 5:1
Jesus said: "... I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"
John 10:10
God loves you and all the people in the world, including our enemies. God wants you to have peace and enjoy life to the fullest.
2. Please understand sin separates you from God.
Sin separates you from God; it does not keep God from loving you. He will always want you to find the pathway to Salvation through Jesus, which leads you to him.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Man's attempt to right himself with God...
Throughout time, man has tried many different ways to get right with God. But none of Man's ways are successful.
Religion, Baptism, Good Works, High Moral Standards, Philosophy, and all other ways are man just trying to reach God on Man's Merit.

3. Please believe God has provided the way
God has provided the way to get right with Him, The way is through Jesus Christ and the Cross. Jesus died on the Cross and he rose from the dead, paying the penalty for our sins. Jesus makes it possible for us to be reconciled with God our Father.
The Word...
"But God demonstrated his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
Salvation is a free gift
"For by grace you have been saves through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
Grace means God's unmerited favor. God's gift of salvation is free; there is nothing you can do to earn it. All you have to do is accept it by receiving Jesus Christ.
4. Please... decide to trust Jesus Christ
We receive Christ when we accept what He has done for us. We recognize that He died on the Cross for us, in our place, and He rose again from the dead.
The Word of God...
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in..."
Revelation 3:20
"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus is the Bridge to God.

What to do next...
Read your Bible daily or as much as possible
Talk to God in prayer every day, learn to be as diligent as you can. This is the way God has established communication with us. No prayer, no talking with God, it is that simple.
Attend a Bible teaching Christian Church, your heart will tell you if it is the right place for you, listen to your spirit carefully.
Join a "New Believer's" Bible Study, again as and when time is available. be sure your heart is at peace when you do join. Husbands/wife's, if your spouse does not believe this will be difficult. Remember, husbands, God has called you to be the priest of your home, not to "rule" but to love. The Love of God will be your greatest witness to the change in your life. be patient and wise about your time spent away from home. Wife's, the same, love is the answer with the same wisdom applied to your outside activities.
Tell others of your new life in Christ, once more witness with an open heart but learn to listen to the Holy Spirit. He will tell you when and where to speak. Remember, A man's "greatest enemies will be in his own household."
Take some time alone, put on your favorite praise music, read the word, study the Holy Spirit and what His relationship is to you. It is one of the most important things you will ever do as a young/old Christian. God loves you so very much...
